2001
| Martina Wilson, Team 181's local webmaster,
was named Who's Who of American High Schools for 2001.

| Martina Wilson is the first four year
graduate of the Birds Of Prey Robotics' team
|
| Khuong Vu was named the valedictorian of
the senior class. Congrats!
|
| Team 181 graduated 9 students in May 2001.
They all went on to attend colleges: Tiana Glass (Rodger Williams), Alex Colon (U.
of Wisconsin, Madison), Janaya Lewis (UConn), Brian Gallagher (UVM), Khuong Vu (UVM),
Jabeth Ocampo (Trinity College), Martina Wilson (Bentley College), L'Wade Lewin (), and
Melinda Guzman (Marymount College)

| HPHS won a grant which allowed the school
to buy 5 Dell computers for the team to use.

2000
| Team 181 graduated 11 students, 9 of which
went on to attend colleges in the area: Heriberto Rodriguez (CCSU), Madeline Sola (WPI),
Andre Samuda (RIT), Nery Cruz (RPI), Ramon Perez (Roger Williams), Angel Serrano (U. of
Hartford), Yeshiva Cohen (Union College), Michelle Duplin (U. of Hartford), Sean
Gallagher (U. of Hartford), Eli Cabrera and Felix Reyes

| Five students accepted into the Connecticut
InRoads Program and interned at Pratt & Whitney over the summer: Andre Samuda, Nery
Cruz, Madeline Sola, Heriberto Rodriguez, Ramon Perez.

| BOP students volunteered at the Special
Olympics in New Haven, CT.
|
| BOP students initiated the Lego League
teams at Quirk Middle School and served as mentors.
|
| Dell, Hewlett Packard, and Unigraphics
Solutions donated computers and CAD software for the duration of the program, allowing all
modeling and animation to be done.
